COMIC-CON HAD A PRETTY MASSIVE DAY
Things being revealed at San Diego Comic-Con is almost traditional, this year the live action comic book worlds joined Star Wars Ep. VII The Force Awakens in stealing the spotlight today. Perhaps the reason why Marvel Studios opted to not really join in, given the size of reveals and what not from FOX owned titles Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Fantastic 4. And of course there was the Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer being revealed (which you can find HERE), and the television series (Arrow, The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Gotham) panels and news...(READ MORE)

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE TRAILER

COMIC-CON HARD TO BEAT THIS YEAR
San Diego Comic-Con 2015 is here, and there is plenty to see. Most notably the Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer (which you can find in the article). Weekend isn't over yet either, and there will be more to come...(READ MORE)

BATFLECK SET FOR SOLO VENTURE
It isn't in the "news" category, as it was expected as Ben Affleck had signed on for multiple films. To star and direct. For some, the initial thought might have been him involved with only Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and the "Justice League" follow-ups. It was just hard to imagine DC Comics and WB finally creating and expanding a movieverse, and not including the goddamn Batman...(READ MORE)

WRESTLING WHAT IF's VOL.I
"What If...?" was a favorite Marvel Comics title in my youth, and watching the WWE Network non-stop has forced me to apply this to the world of wrestling and sports entertainment. From outcomes, signings, to behind the scenes, backstage stuff there are almost endless possibilities in regards to what could have been or might have been if something was done different. Large to very small, the decisions and occurrences throughout the years have made impact...(READ MORE)

DVR/PVR GETTING A WORKOUT
Sure, everyone's DVR/PVR has been used for anything and everything they like. But, for the "comic book" centric, it is about to get bigger. Of course, it depends on peoples preferences as always. However, starting next season there is an abundance to pick from and thus far, everything has been top notch or close to it....(READ MORE)

WWE EXTREME RULES MATCHES & PREDICTIONS
The pay-per-view/special event that follows Wrestlemania (this year it is "Extreme Rules") is where old feuds come to a conclusion, new feuds are explored, and is also the first step on the "Road To Summerslam". Doesn't have the same ring to it, but none the less, WWE is beginning to plant the seeds to their second biggest event, Summerslam. Here is a list of matches and their NGN predicted outcomes...(READ MORE)

WHEN WILL LANTERNS BEGIN TO APPEAR?
During the "Arrow/Flash" crossover earlier in the season, there was a very clear reference to the emotional spectrum. As most fans are aware, Latnerns of all colors get their powers from the spectrum. That episode even had a meta-human who used "rage" as his weapon. Although not an outright "Red Lantern", coupled with the spectrum reference it almost "opens the door" for there to be one...(READ MORE)

THE JOKER NOT GETTING MAD LOVE?
If not for the internet, we wouldn't get to see anything beyond what would be shown on Entertainment Tonight (or something like that). But then, if not for the internet we wouldn't be exposed to so much hate. Unjustified most of the time. There was the Batfleck casting drama, Wonder Woman not being "big enough" type bullshlacka, and this time around even a clown can't get no love...(READ MORE)

NGN's ALL-TIME FAVORITE COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS ON THE BIG AND SMALL SCREENS
Everyone has their own favorites, whether it is the characters, the actors who played them, or a combination the the two. Some characters have only been portrayed by one actor/actress, while the others have had different people take the helm. But, here is a list of favorite characters from both movie and television shows of the comic book genre...(READ MORE)

WAITING FOR CONVERGENCE TO END
It does appear to be an interesting "event" based on the information that has floated around since DC Comics "Convergence" began. Azrael is still Batman, a mantle he claimed after the events of "Batman: Knightfall". Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane are not only still a married couple, but they are expecting their first child.  The list goes on. All interesting, but...(READ MORE)

NGN's FAVORITE SUBMISSION  FINISHING MOVES
Unless it is a part of the bigger picture, nobody really likes a DQ, Count Out, or No Contest finish to a wrestling match. Unless there are added stipulations, there is typically two ways to get a win. A pin-fall and a submission. As the title states, for this one we are going to focus on the finishers that make opponents tap or pass out. While many are starstruck by...(READ MORE)

MEANING BEHIND SPRINGBOARD STUNNER?
John Cena using the "Springboard Stunner" in his matches. It could mean nothing. Simply adding a new move to the repertoire. It could be paying homage to one the greatest of all time. Or is it something "more"? Is it possible that John Cena is secretly calling out Stone Cold Steve Austin?...(READ MORE)

DC COMICS TV-VERSE, WHO STILL NEEDS TO BE IN IT
With the movieverse (for DC Comics, as well as with Marvel), we focused slightly more on who has and is scheduled to appear on the big screen. Unlike with the movieverse, where everything is really still in the infancy stage, the "tv-verse" is new, but much more evolved and bigger. At the present time, there are 2 different worlds on...(READ MORE)

THE DOWNSIDE OF WWE TAG TEAM INSURGECE
Tag-team wrestling has been a staple of sorts within wrestling for decades. For most of us, the 80's and early 90's saw a massive number of teams of all different styles. And then although they continued on in the rest of...(READ MORE)

WHY ISN'T THIS LEGEND ALREADY IN THE WWE HALL OF FAME?
It is a question that could apply to lists upon lists of past wrestlers. This year saw "Macho Man" Randy Savage be removed from those pages. But, this article focuses that question on one person...(READ MORE)

FOX ENTERTAINMENT'S "X-MEN" MOVIEVERSE PT.2
Of course, the X-Men movieverse wouldn't be complete without the bad guys/girls, antiheroes, and instigators. While the first installment focused on the good (which you can find HERE), this is focusing on the bad. Here is a list of the villains and instigators that have appeared so far within the X-Men movies...(READ MORE)

FOX ENTERTAINMENT'S "X-MEN" MOVIEVERSE PT.1
We'll be seeing a couple of mutants in "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch), a film brought to us by Marvel Studios, however the movie rights for the X-Men Universe belong to FOX Entertainment. Although it would appear that a deal of sorts was worked out, but with less hype than SONY and Spider-Man joining the party. Or a loop hole was found. Regardless, FOX is "in charge" of the mutants, which would explain the slight mess of things. Just how much did... (READ MORE)

TIME FOR REIGNS TO COOK
I know, the title is somewhat of a "wtf", but let me explain. Let's turn back the clock to the 1990's. WWE (as we all know, then known as WWF), had third generation wrestler, who had "it". They didn't know what his "it" was, but regardless, he had "it". WWE hyped him up, showcasing his lineage. He comes from one of sports entertainments biggest...(READ MORE)

WANTED: ASIAN WWE CHAMPION
Before anyone says or thinks it, Yokozuna was not Asian but rather a Samoan (Polynesian) portraying one. So he doesn't count. We are talking mainly Japan and/or China, since that is where they will likely be billed from, but from an Asian country. Besides the point. In Japan wrestling is just as big as it is here in North America. Both with their own promotions, and whenever a promotion (a legit one) crosses the Pacific. It has been that way for...(READ MORE)

MARVEL MOVIEVERSE PHASE 3

MARVEL MOVIEVERSE PHASE 2
As you've seen so far, in regards to movieverses, Marvel is worlds beyond where DC Comics is currently. And it is continuously growing with future installments of Captain America, Thor, amongst others (both returning and debuting). Here is "Phase 2" of the Marvel movieverse...(READ MORE)

MARVEL MOVIEVERSE PHASE 1
Unlike with the DC Comics movieverse, Marvel's is quite large, and growing. It all began with "Iron Man" and "Hulk" back in 2008, and has grown from there with everything centering around "The Avengers" installments or at least setting the stage for what happens there. The success of these films have opened the doors for other Marvel characters coming to life on the big screen. And with Marvel having reacquired the rights for basically everyone from...(READ MORE)

DC COMICS MOVIEVERSE THUS FAR
Not much is really known about new DC Comics "movieverse" other than what we gathered from "Man Of Steel" back in 2013. We do know the projected film schedule, and what movies they plan to release. With films like "The Flash", "Suicide Squad" (currently being filmed), amongst others set to begin the filming process. But, things could change depending on how things go. We didn't get any real pictures or footage from the shooting of...(READ MORE)

WANTED: FUTURE WWE GIANTS
It almost feels like a dying art, but it isn't an art, it is simply lack of talent with giant proportions. Of course, this isn't really referring to late greats Andre The Giant and Giant Gonzalez, or today's Giants, Big Show and Great Khali. They are as rare as they are special. This article is referring more to giants  like Kevin Nash, Undertaker, and Kane. Even Mark Henry, who makes up for the height in sheer size and...(READ MORE)

WILL MANAGERS EVER FULLY RETURN?
Managers, valets, agents, whatever you want to call them have been slowly dying off over the years in the WWE. Which is both sad and ironic as some of the greatest have come from or through the WWE. Legends like Bobby The Brain Heenan, Captain Lou Albano, Paul Bearer, Miss Elizabeth, Jim Cornette, the list goes on. Paul Heyman (who is truly one of, if not the greatest) is keeping the position alive appearing mainly with Brock Lesner. He was put with guys like Ryback and Cesaro but wasn't with them long enough to...(READ MORE)

WWE LEGENDS HOUSE. WHO SHOULD BE NEXT?
Although not too different from your typical reality show, where a large chunk of things is generally "planned" or "scripted", but WWE Legends House wasn't too bad. The first season saw legends Pat Patterson, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Tony Atlas, Hillbilly Jim, Mouth Of The South Jimmy Hart, Howard Finkel, Mean Gene Okerland, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan. An entertaining cast, and their different personalities clashing and combining made for some great moments on the show. It would have been interesting to see Duggan and Atlas come to blows, it would have put a...(READ MORE)

DC COMICS ROLLING DICE WITH MOVIEVERSE?
Usually a positive tone is kept around here, well there is a strong attempt to do so. And of course, one of the millions looking forward to all of this happening. However, it is hard not to "think" and "worry". Why? It's been 2 years since "Man Of Steel", and we are still a year away from "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice". That's quite a gap in between films from the same "story/universe", and that is a lot of time to think about things, and worry about what could go wrong. The main thing that crosses the thought process is this...(READ MORE)

IS DEADPOOL ABOUT TO OPEN DOORS FOR OTHERS?
In trying to keep with the traditional tone of the character from the comic books, the currently being filmed movie Deadpool is reportedly going to have a R rating.  Which hasn't been the norm with comic book movies, but then most of the characters we've seen thus far don't need any "adult content". Things like language, blood, and violence (and lost of it). These are the things Deadpool is based on, but he isn't alone...(READ MORE)

WHO STILL NEEDS TO BE INDUCTED INTO WWE HALL OF FAME?
This year we saw the late Macho Man Randy Savage, as well as Alundra Blayze/Medusa get inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. People who were thought to be unlikely, despite fans (and wrestlers/superstars) begging for it. But, they are in. Now, we are basically left with the traditional picks, meaning there wouldn't really be any controversy involved. Really, only Owen Hart and Chris Benoit are left with that distinction. Owen's wife not wanting...(READ MORE)

FUTURE ENDEAVOR SEASON
Usually not long after Wrestlemania, the WWE begins to thin out their roster. Up until a few years ago, it was always the main roster that saw the majority of the cuts. Nowadays with NXT in the mix of things it is a combination of both. We'll focus on the main roster for this, but who should possibly be a bit worried? It is rumored, and a bit apparent, that WWE is looking to put more focus on...(READ MORE)

DC UNIVERSE ONLINE RIPPING OFF PS3 USERS
It wouldn't really be an issue for "free" players, it would be more of an annoyance. A great online game, with an occasional glitch. The current glitch is one that freezes the game, causing players to reset not only the game, but systems as well. It only seems to affect those still using a Playstation 3 for their gaming, with PS4 gamers going without a hitch (glitch). This all upgrades from an annoyance, to a...(READ MORE)

CONVERGENCE: CONFUSING FOR SOME OF US
For some fans, mostly those who chose the launching of the New 52 to jump on board with DC Comics, that is really all that is known. Now four years later, the new readers (mainly) are left in the dark so to speak. Titles have come and gone since DC Comics relaunch, so the dropping of the titles wasn't...(READ MORE)

TNA RETURNING TO CANADIAN TELEVISION
For those Canadians who still "care about" TNA Impact Wrestling, the drought is now over! After their deal with Spike ended in late 2014, wrestling fans north of the border were left a promotion short. Thanks to a newly inked multi-year deal with the Fight Network fans will get to see what is happening outside of WWE...(READ MORE)

THE SUICIDE SQUAD ADDS SOME BITE
Well, we assume he'll at least be a cannibal, but Killer Croc will be in the upcoming "Suicide Squad" film. Waylon Jones aka Killer Croc will be played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra, Thor: The Dark World, etc)...(READ MORE)

FROM RICH TO POOR. STEPHEN AMELL LOOKS TO DELIVER AS CASEY JONES
It's been announced and confirmed by his Facebook (and likely his twitter) page, but "Arrow" star, Stephen Amell will be joining the TMNT ranks as Casey Jones. That's right, the next installment of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will include fan favorite (well, favorite non-turtle), Casey Jones...(READ MORE)

WILL WWE RAW DELIVER?
For a lot of fans, especially before the WWE Network when we were left to order through pay-per-view and may not have the money to do so, the Raw that follows Wrestlemania is where it is all at. First we would get to find out all of the results (before the internet, this was how it was done if not by word of mouth), and of course the fallout or Backlash (some will remember the significance) from the night before. Although they mention it during the fall, but the Raw that follows Wrestlemania is truly WWE's season premier. Whether a continuance of the "previous season", or fresh new feuds. Which at times has meant...(READ MORE)

OFFICIAL DEADPOOL SUIT REVEALED
We all saw the test footage that "leaked" its way across the internet awhile ago. Now things have gotten a bit more "official" after Ryan Reynolds tweeted "With great power, comes great irresponsibility #deadpool #officialsuit". Along with that came an image of Reynolds in his Deadpool suit, with a typical Deadpool comedic tone...(READ MORE)

WRESTLEMANIA 31 MATCHES AND PREDICTIONS
It's that time of year again. Time for all of us "marks" to look at the card for Wrestlemania and give our predictions. It is said almost every year, but the card for Wrestlemania 31 is stacked. From Undertaker returning to face Bray Wyatt, to Brock Lesner defending against Roman Reigns. Even the midcard titles have a main event feel to them. Oh, and then there will be that moment when Sting will finally be in a match for the WWE. At Wrestlemania. Many may want him to face Undertaker, but Triple H is going to bring the best out of...(READ MORE)

LEX LUTHOR'S LOOK. COMPLETE.
With the image intially coming from Entertainment Weekly, Jesse Eisenberg sporting the traditional hairstyle of Lex Luthor has made its way across the net. Although there is still a year until we actually see if Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice will be any good, we at least now know that at some point (if not the entire film) Luthor will be...(READ MORE)

BROCK RE-SIGNING IMPROVES MAIN EVENT
It is being reported that Brock Lesner has opted to stick around the squared circle, as opposed to returning to the octagon. Vince McMahon convinced to Brock to re-sign with WWE, after a lengthy and at times very heated negotiation period. Some will love this decision, while the rest will be against it., but either way the main event of Wrestlemania has instantly improved...(READ MORE)

WRESTLEMANIA 31 IS WYATT'S MILLION DOLLAR BELT
Let's go back to when Macho Man Randy Savage won the WWE Championship. Something that is said to have happened after Honky Tonk Man refused to drop the Intercontinental Championship, which led to Vince giving the WWE Championship to Macho Man. Which was supposed to go to...(READ MORE)

WWE NEEDS MORE THAN THEY WANT BROCK LESNER TO RE-SIGN
The rumor mill has been stating this, and the more one thinks about it, it is more than a rumor. Word around the net is that WWE is pushing for Brock Lesner to re-sign with the company now instead of later. Later being after Wrestlemania 31. Although WWE likely "wants" Lesner to remain on the roster, naturally so as he is a...(READ MORE)

DANIEL BRYAN. CAREER IN JEOPARDY?
Perhaps a very misleading headline, as it isn't so much Daniel Bryan's career that is in jeopardy, as it is his status within the WWE. Based on fan reaction, he should be a main event personality for years to come. Based on some choices by WWE? Midcard player. One could even call this "Jericho-syndrome" or "RVD-syndrome" as it isn't the first time we have seen wrestlers more over with fans than the people Vince chooses to push into the spotlight. With the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year, it is nice to see some spotlight on the...(READ MORE)

FIRST LOOK AT SUPERGIRL!
Melissa Benoist is all set to fly high in her Supergirl costume for CBS' upcoming series. Although she may not have the traditional blonde locks (slightly darker than the Supergirl stereotype but it works), but she is sporting a more traditional costume. Unlike some of the other costumes that we have seen, this one is almost guaranteed to translate well on screen. As it isn't much different than the Superman costumes (Superman Returns and Man Of Steel), and slightly darker than the previous costume worn by Helen Slater in the Supergirl movie...(READ MORE)

NO LESNER? NO PROBLEM!!
Rumors are running rampant after a heated argument between Vince McMahon and Brock Lesner, followed by an apparent "walk-off" by Brock Lesner before last weeks Monday Night Raw. Rumors are that the verbal engagement was over Lesner's next contract, and allowing Brock to attend UFC 184. Which as most know, Lesner attended, and sat with Dana White. There are even reports that despite all of this, Vince McMahon doesn't see a need for a back-up plan as WWE will sue Brock if he doesn't fulfill his contractual obligation. Although he may have said that, it would almost be safe to assume he's already thought of a plan B. There's always a plan B (ask Triple H)...(READ MORE)
