Detective_Comics.Futures_End.3D-CoversDC's FUTURES END MONTH IN SEPTEMBER A CASE OF DEJA VU?
Perhaps a bit early to be talking too much on the subject, with there being an entire summer to get through first. However, there have been some rumblings about DC Comics plans for their upcoming 3rd Anniversary of The New 52. For the first year mark we were treated to #0 issues giving us a taste of characters new origins. Showing us just how much certain characters have both changed and stayed the same since the relaunch in 2011. Then there was last year, the second anniversary of the New 52. We were given a new style of 3-D covers, with the entire cover being a hologram instead of the traditional card or sticker. The covers were amazing and great additions to the collection. There is where the problem lied, getting your hands on these were quite a hassle for most. With stores and their customers suffering due to limited availability due to the lower number DC Comics had made. Usually only the customers are left with a bad taste in their mouth after failing to grab a certain item that likely fell into the hands of the people who only buy up and resell items at a higher price. This time even the store owners were feeling the heat from this mishap as they can't make money off of an item they ran out of. This year we will be treated to...(READ MORE)

Batman-1989-LogoWILL BATMAN '89 EVER COME TO BE?
I was playing some DC All Access videos on Youtube for background noise while typing out a comic book review, when I heard someone (possibly Kevin Smith) say something about how almost each generation has their own Batman. For my father it was Adam West's version from the 1960's, being an 80's kid my Batman of course was Michael Keaton from Batman (1989) and Batman Returns, and my oldest daughters first Batman is Christian Bale in the Dark Knight Trilogy, while the youngest daughter will have Ben Affleck. Some of the...(READ MORE)

WHO IS THE ROCK PLAYING IN DC'S MOVIEVERSE?
The-Rock.DC-ComicsWith newcomer Ray Fisher getting the nod to play Victor Stone aka Cyborg in the upcoming Man Of Steel follow-up, we can not only add another member to the Justice League, but also take away one more possibility as to whom Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be portraying. Of course it is just an assumption that the character who The Rock will play falls into the Man Of Steel movieverse. He's built himself into a big time Hollywood name, so it would add to the hype that would surround an all out Justice League movie. Only thing that we know for sure is that The Rock is signed on to play a character from DC Comics catalog, it will be a character that hasn't been on the big screen before, and that he will be bad ass! Rumors have always involved the WWE great, but began to pick up more steam once the news broke. Here's a list of possible choices for The People's Champion...(READ MORE)

Ray-Fisher.Cyborg.Victor-StoneFROM 3 TO 4! JUSTICE LEAGUE GROWS BY ONE MORE!
A report by Variety states that the upcoming "Man Of Steel (2013)" follow-up film featuring Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will now have even more reason to expect a full fledged "Justice League" film to soon follow. Reason being the very recent addition of...(READ MORE)

FILLING OUT THE LEAGUE
With Hollywood it is never safe to assume that a film will be successful despite who is starring in it, who is directing and thinking that a sequel will be good because the first one was amazing. It isn't even safe to assume that others will like the movie that you do, which if the numbers are high enough, kill the franchise. Comic Book and superhero movies are no exception. Daredevil (2003), Green Lantern (2011), etc. However, for this article we will pretend that the follow-up movie to Man Of Steel (2013), which has many possible names so far (Man Of Steel 2? Superman Vs Batman? etc) will be a success and that Justice League soon to follow. The original three are set and cast. Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Ben Affleck as Batman. Of course there are other characters that...(READ MORE)

RDJ.Iron_Man.Marvel.Iron_Man_2.Iron_Man_3.Iron_Man_4.DEAR MARVEL- PLEASE RECAST THE ROLE OF IRON MAN IMMEDIATELY
Iron Man fans are ready to pounce, and anti-DC Comics fans are ready to war over a title like that. However, even the great Robert Downey Jr has said that it is a likely possibility. He isn't happy about that, and fans share the sentiment. Understandably so. Iron Man was RDJ's revival role, and a talented star who gave us a Tony Stark aka Iron Man that we deserved. If this were to happen, and within the next few years, it presents a possible opportunity for DC Comics fans, namely Batman fans...(READ MORE)

STAN'S THE MAN, BUT WEST IS BEST
Okay, slightly misleading title, as they are different people who have different connections to the comic book and film industries, and of course the obvious Marvel Vs DC part of things. Stan Lee creator of Spider-Man and other Marvel icons, Adam West forever known as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the campy hit series "Batman" back in the 1960's. Perhaps it makes more sense to have Stan make cameos in the films of characters he's been known to have created or worked on, as they are in some cases his "babies". And if he were still alive today, would be nice to think that Batman creator Bob Kane would have gone the same route and made small appearances within Nolan's trilogy (although likely not as comedic as Stan's spots have been)...(READ MORE)

DC MOVIE UNIVERSE
With the recent announcement (and uproar) of the casting of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, the DC Movie Universe has expanded again. Looking at the size of the cast, it is hard to argue with the rumor that the delay in production and pushed back premiere is due to them filming more than one film, however there is the fact that apparently even a small delay of a week or two would push the opening back about 10 months. However, being a fan of how they shot the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, I am hoping there's more than one film being made in succession. Otherwise, there are a lot of stars and a lot of story to cover in a two hour time frame. We shall see....(READ MORE)
